March 14th is designated as "Ann's Day" each year in honor and remembrance of this very special lady.  In honor of Ann in 2007, blocks are being collected to make a quilt to be donated in her name.  These blocks will have a "heart theme" and can be paper-pieced, pieced, appliquéd, or any other technique that you choose.  These blocks can also be made from "heart" fabric.  Unfinished blocks should measure 10.5" x 10.5" and should be mailed to Terry no later than March 14th, 2007.

Ann was known to all of us on the Quilting Passion Forum as "BUMBLENANN".  She joined the forum from its early days, when we were just a few weeks old.  She was loving, compassionate, kind, quick to volunteer, and so very courageous throughout her illness and hard-fought battle with cancer.  Ann was from upstate South Carolina and last logged in on the forum on 11/25/2005.  Her favorite quote was, "Faith Is The Hope Of All Things Yet To Come!".  Her faith, as well as her love of birdhouses and flowers, were well-known to us.  I fondly remember her sharing photographs of herself sitting in her garden!

To show her how much we cared, we made her a comfort quilt.  It was the least we could do for such a wonderful person!

Ann loved to participate in the swaps on the forum!  Here are a few of her finished projects that she happily shared with us.
