The
Quilting
Passion Forum
hosts quilting classes, which began in January 2002, for all levels of expertise. These classes are
tuition-free and even if they have already been completed, it is still possible to
take the class since the vast majority of these online classes are not removed.
Some classes may only be offered via the Internet and not require
forum participation. These classes have links to the Web and not
the forum, such as Documenting Quilts and the HTML Tutorial.
Input from quilters is
important in that I want to offer what quilters
want and need. So, if you have a suggestion, please
e-mail
me!
Class
criteria:
 |
Participants
must be a member of the Quilting
Passion Forum (membership is free). Refer also to criteria
#7 below. |
 |
Instructors must be a member in good standing of the
Quilting Passion Forum for a minimum of three (3)
months before requesting to teach. |
 |
There
must be at least five (5) persons to enroll in a
class for it to be offered. The instructor can
choose to offer the class with less than five,
but it is not required. |
 |
Quilters
enrolled in a class should keep instructors
informed of their progress. |
 |
All
instruction/lesson notifications are given on the forum, however Web
pages are many times used and/or referred to as supplementary
teaching materials. |
 |
Participants
are asked to submit a photo
(digital is preferred, but not necessary) of
their finished class work (whether it's a single
block or a quilt). This is not required, but
would be greatly appreciated! |
 |
There
will be two (2) threads on the forum for
each class: The first thread is the lessons thread and should only be used by the
instructor(s), and the second thread is a discussion thread for
use by the students and/or instructors to discuss
progress, ask questions, post pictures of work in
progress, etc. |
 |
All
participants of a class that finish the class and submit a photo receive
Certificates of Achievement and/or Completion.
