Notes:

  1. If printing these pages on a printer and you notice the edges to the right are cut off, then adjust your printer settings so that it prints "landscape" rather than "portrait".

  2. When printing, the border to the left will not print on paper. 

  3. To only print a specific section of this page, first use your mouse to highlight (by holding the left button down and dragging your mouse) the area you wish to print, then click on File, then select Print, then select Selection.

  4. Be sure to read the guidelines at the bottom of this page.

     Do you need a quick baby quilt?  Do you have a few scraps to get rid of?  Do you have an itch for another mystery from?  If you answered "Yes" to all of these, then this is the project for you!

Making the HST

     There are a total of 35 (3.5" x 3.5") HST in this Mystery Quilt.  Refer to the chart below to see how many of each example is needed.  It is important to note that all of the squares used to make HST are cut to 4.5" and were cut in the previous section.

  1. Using the HST Tutorial (or your own technique), make the 35 HST according to the information given in the chart above.  It is important to note that you will have one extra and also one extra .   These can be tossed into your UFO pile, as they will not be used in this quilt.

  2. Be sure to trim each HST down to 3.5" x 3.5". 

  3. Press each HST flat, toward the darker color.
