Guidelines

bullet The theme for 2004 is "Starry Winter Night".  Each block entered must use this theme.
bullet The background fabric must be black or black on black.
bullet The Focus Fabric must be a "starry" color/fabric.  Use your imagination here.  Real stars can be white, yellow, gold, red, etc.
bullet The Focus Fabric can either be solid, tone on tone, or a small print.  No large prints, please.
bullet Any additional fabrics may be used, but the Focus Fabric should be the primary fabric in the block.
bullet Quilt blocks should be 12.5" x 12.5" unfinished.  After the challenge is over, if you wish to donate your block, you can mail it to Terry and she will put them together for charity quilts on the forum.  Donating them is optional, however.
bullet Techniques:   Blocks can be pieced, appliquéd, paper-pieced, or any other technique can be used.
bullet Limit:  Three (3) entries per person.
bullet First, Second, and Third place winners will be recognized.
bullet E-mail photographs of blocks to Terry by May 15, 2004
bullet If a digital photograph is not available, participants may send the block to the Hostess with a return postage paid envelope. At such time, a digital image will be taken and displayed online with the others; and the original block will be returned to the owner.
bullet If a digital photograph is not available and participants do not wish to mail the block to the Hostess, then participants can mail a regular photograph of the block to the Hostess.
bullet Judging will be in the form of an e-mail vote from members of the Quilting Passion site for five (5) days beginning May 16th. The Hostess reserves the right to make the final decision in the event of a tie.
bullet Limit 1 vote per member.

I am looking forward to seeing all of the fabulous creations!
